Foundation For Essential Needs

Last fall I completed my capstone project through AdZou, a full-service agency operating through the Missouri School of Journalism. Throughout the semester, I collaborated with five other individuals to create a fully-integrated advertising campaign for the Foundation for Essential Needs, a nonprofit in Minnesota. My team and I were tasked with increasing FFEN’s brand awareness and raising $35,000 through crowdfunding for a backpack program aiming to alleviate childhood hunger on the weekends.

The result? A meticulously designed, 116-page planbook outlining secondary and primary research, creative executions, suggested tactics, media budget and other recommendations. We then presented our work to our client in the form of a 45-minute, memorized pitch complete with audio and visual components.

my role

In addition to assisting with research, tactic development and graphic design, my primary responsibilities included Big Idea creation, writing creative copy, taking original photos to be used in the planbook and the monstrous task of compiling a semester's worth of information into one cohesive document.
